Paxton Pits Nature Reserve

Free nature reserve beside the River Great Ouse near St Neots. Home to the best inland tern colony in the UK, plus kingfishers, sand martins, otters and a large cormorant roost. Miles of flat paths around the flooded gravel pits make it ideal for cycling, birdwatching and buggy walks.
